What does AU mean?

"Autographed". The card or photo has an authentic signature.

What does B/W mean?

"Black and White". The picture or sometimes the whole card is black and white or not colored. Also seen as BW or B&W.

What does CCG mean?

"Collectible Card Game". Gaming cards are for both playing and collecting.

What does COA mean?

"Certificate Of Authenticity". A method used to prove the signature is real. "No COA" doesn't mean that the signature is not real, only means there is no proof of validity.

What does NNO mean?

"Not Numbered or No Number". The card itself doesn't contain an identification number. Usually the price guide will sort the cards alphabetically by the players name and assign a psuedo number.

What does RC mean?

"Rookie Card". The persons' first year card issued by each manufacturer.

What does RMA# mean?

"Return Merchandise Authorization Number". Before a buyer returns a product to a seller for any reason, please obtain the seller's authorization so your account is properly credited and the seller expects the item. Unsolicited items sent to the seller are usually discarded.

What does SW mean?

"Swatch". This abbreviation is usually found in card titles and descriptions associated with cards containing "materials" such as game-worn or game-used jerseys, pants, warm-up shirts, bats, bases, game-balls and the like.

What does UER mean?

"Uncorrected Error". The card contains incorrect information but never fixed by the manufacturer so the value stays the same. Some collectors collect "error cards" that have corrected by the manufacturer causing two variations. Usually they have different values depending on the quantity of each type issued.

What does WS mean?

"World Series". The card usually refers to a card depicting a World Series theme.
